Bitcoin Transaction Fee Calculator
Real-time mempool data • Optimal fee estimation • Compare priorities • Save on network fees
Bitcoin fees are paid per byte of transaction data, not per amount sent. This calculator converts the current mempool fee rate in sats per vByte into a dollar cost for your transaction size, and estimates confirmation time for economy, standard and priority settings.

What is the Mempool?
The Mempool (Memory Pool) is a "waiting room" for all Bitcoin transactions pending confirmation. When you send a transaction, it first enters this pool. Miners then select transactions to include in their blocks, usually prioritizing those with the highest fee (sats/vB).
Low Congestion
If the mempool is empty, 1-2 sats/vB can get you into the very next block.
High Congestion
When the network is busy, low-fee transactions can wait for days or be evicted.
RBF (Replace-By-Fee)
If your transaction gets stuck, you can speed it up by offering a higher fee.
