    Our Values

    What We Stand For

Every decision we make, from how we source data to how we write our guides, comes back to these principles.

    Accuracy First

Every calculator uses verified financial formulas and real market data from the CoinGecko API. We test each tool against known Bitcoin price milestones: $1 in February 2011, $1,000 in November 2013, $19,783 in December 2017, $69,044 in November 2021, and $100,000+ in December 2024. If a calculator doesn't match these verified historical prices, we don't publish it. You can check the methodology on every calculator page and reproduce the results yourself.

    Full Transparency

No hidden fees, no paywalls, no mystery formulas. Every calculator page has a dedicated 'How It Works' section that shows you the exact formula we use, written in plain language. We think that if you can't verify how a calculator works, you probably shouldn't trust it. Our data sources, how often they update, and the math behind every result are all documented publicly.

    Privacy by Design

All calculations happen right in your browser using JavaScript. We never send your financial data to any server, and we don't store it anywhere. There are no cookies tracking your investment inputs, no analytics logging your numbers, and no server-side processing. When you close the tab, everything you entered is gone from browser memory. Nothing is saved, nothing is recoverable.

    Education Driven

Every tool comes with a learning guide that explains the concept behind the numbers. Our library of 30+ educational articles covers topics like DCA strategy, tax obligations, mining profitability, and on-chain analysis. We want you to actually understand your Bitcoin strategy, not just plug in numbers. Each article includes links to authoritative external sources so you can dig deeper.

    Community Built

We're independent. No corporate sponsors, no VC funding, no exit plans. This project was built by people who have been in Bitcoin since 2010 and wanted tools that didn't exist yet. We don't sell data, we don't run ads, and we don't take sponsorship money that could influence our tools. Every feature request and bug report from the community gets reviewed.

    Global Access

We support 100+ fiat currencies and build tools for Bitcoin investors in every country. Whether you're in the US, UK, Pakistan, India, UAE, or anywhere else, our calculators handle local currency formatting and relevant tax rules where applicable. Bitcoin is global, and our tools should be too.

    Verified Data Sources

Live Bitcoin prices come from the CoinGecko API, updating every 30 seconds with automatic failover if anything goes down. Historical price data goes all the way back to Bitcoin's first tradeable price in 2010. Mining data comes from mempool.space with real-time fee and hash rate figures. Tax references are pulled directly from IRS publications and HMRC guidance.

    Our Process

    How We Build Our Calculators

Every tool goes through a careful development and testing process before it reaches you.

    Real Historical Data

Every calculator that uses historical Bitcoin prices pulls from the CoinGecko public API, which provides verified price data going back to Bitcoin's earliest tradeable days in 2010. We don't use made-up or estimated numbers. Every data point corresponds to a real market price recorded on that date.

    Tested Against Known Outcomes

Before we publish any calculator, we test it against known Bitcoin price milestones: $1 in February 2011, $1,000 in November 2013, $19,783 in December 2017, $69,044 in November 2021, and $100,000+ in December 2024. If a calculator's output doesn't match what actually happened, it doesn't go live.

    Documented Formulas

Every calculator page includes a "How It Works" section that shows the exact formula used. If you can't verify how a tool works, you probably shouldn't trust it. You can reproduce every result on your own using the published methodology.

    Client-Side Processing

All calculations run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. No financial data is sent to any server. When you close the tab, your inputs are gone. Nothing is stored, logged, or transmitted. This is verified through our open codebase architecture.

    Our Journey

    From Day One to Today

A 15-year journey from early Bitcoin adoption to building the most comprehensive free Bitcoin calculator suite on the internet.

    2010

    Bitcoin Journey Begins

Web3Believer gets into Bitcoin as an early adopter, before mainstream exchanges existed and before most people had heard the word 'blockchain.' A 15+ year journey starts here.

    2011

    Community Identity Established

The @web3believers Twitter account goes live, creating a consistent identity in the Bitcoin and crypto community. That same account is still active today and linked to this site.

    2020

    The Idea Takes Shape

After years of running DCA and retirement calculations in spreadsheets and helping others in Bitcoin forums do the same, the need becomes obvious: these tools should exist online and be free for everyone.

    2024

    First Calculators Launch

The What-If, DCA, and Retirement calculators go live. These are the three tools that started it all, built with real historical price data from the CoinGecko API and immediately serving the global Bitcoin community.

    2025

    Expanding the Tools

The suite grows fast: Tax, HODL Strategy, Mining Profitability, Lightning Network, Power Law, Rainbow Chart, Fear & Greed, and more. Now 15+ tools strong and trusted by investors worldwide.

    2026

    Performance, Polish & 45+ Tools

Major performance improvements, multi-currency support across 100+ fiat currencies, a fully modernized interface, and the suite now has over 45 professional-grade Bitcoin calculators and 30+ educational guides.

    Our Team

    Built by Bitcoiners

Two people who have been in this space long enough to know what tools Bitcoin investors actually need, and frustrated enough that they didn't exist yet.

Web3Believer, Creator & Bitcoin Expert at Bitcoin Calculator Tools

    Web3Believer

    Creator & Bitcoin Expert

Web3Believer is an Asia-based Bitcoin investor, multi-chain trader, and tool builder who has been part of the Bitcoin ecosystem since around 2010, before most exchanges even existed. Active on Twitter as @web3believers since 2011, it's one of the longest-running Bitcoin-focused accounts still going today.

He runs 20+ blockchain transactions every week across Bitcoin, Ethereum, Layer 2 networks (Arbitrum, Base, Optimism), and Solana, which gives the tools here a practical, real-world foundation that purely theoretical calculators don't have. He built this site in 2024 after spending years helping people in Bitcoin communities run DCA and retirement calculations in spreadsheets. The tools here are the ones he needed and couldn't find anywhere else, now free for everyone.

Web3Believer is a consistent pseudonym used across the Bitcoin community since 2011. This is a common practice among early Bitcoin contributors and doesn't diminish the verifiable, 15-year track record behind the identity.
