Bitcoin Future Calculator
This Bitcoin future calculator projects what your holdings could be worth if Bitcoin reaches a target price. Enter your BTC amount and a future price target to see your projected portfolio value, gain percentage, and the market cap Bitcoin would need to reach that price.
What Is a Bitcoin Moon Calculator?
A Bitcoin moon calculator shows the exact Bitcoin price at which your current holdings would reach a specific wealth target. Enter your BTC stack and your goal — whether that is $100,000, $1 million, or financial independence — and the moon calculator instantly shows the price Bitcoin needs to reach. It also shows the market cap Bitcoin would need at that price, giving context for how realistic or ambitious the target is.
When Does Bitcoin Make You a Millionaire?
One of the most-asked questions in the crypto space is "how much Bitcoin do I need to be a millionaire?" The answer depends entirely on the future price of BTC. Use the Bitcoin Millionaire Calculator above to model your exact numbers, or refer to the quick-reference table below.
| If BTC Reaches… | BTC Needed for $1M |
|---|---|
| $200,000 | 5.00 BTC |
| $500,000 | 2.00 BTC |
| $1,000,000 | 1.00 BTC |
| $2,000,000 | 0.50 BTC |
| $5,000,000 | 0.20 BTC |
At a $1 million Bitcoin price, owning just 1 BTC makes you a millionaire. At $200k, you'd need 5 BTC — still an achievable goal for disciplined savers using a dollar-cost averaging strategy.
Why Only 21 Million Bitcoin Will Ever Exist
Bitcoin's hard-coded supply cap of 21 million coins is the single most important feature driving its long-term value proposition. Unlike fiat currencies that can be printed at will, nobody — no government, no corporation, no developer — can create more than 21 million BTC.
This scarcity has a stunning implication: if Bitcoin reaches $1 million per coin, there can mathematically only be about 1 million Bitcoin millionaires worldwide — and that's before accounting for the estimated 3–4 million BTC that are permanently lost. The real number of possible millionaires is even smaller.
Every halving event cuts the rate of new supply in half, making existing Bitcoin increasingly scarce. Track Bitcoin's current supply dynamics with our Supply & Scarcity calculator.
Bitcoin Price Targets — What Do Models Predict?
Several widely-followed models project Bitcoin's long-term trajectory. The Power Law model uses a log-log regression on Bitcoin's entire price history and suggests BTC could reach $500k–$1M between 2028 and 2032, with fair value growing exponentially over time.
The Stock-to-Flow (S2F) model, popularised by PlanB, focuses on Bitcoin's decreasing inflation rate after each halving. While its exact price predictions have been debated, the directional thesis — that decreasing supply issuance drives price appreciation — has held true across every halving cycle so far.
No model can predict the future with certainty, but both frameworks support the case for long-term BTC accumulation. Use our Power Law Calculator to explore projected price corridors and compare with your own targets.
How to Use the Bitcoin Price Target Calculator
Step 1 — Choose Your Mode
The calculator offers two powerful modes designed for different questions. Forward Mode is perfect if you already own Bitcoin and want to see what your holdings could be worth at various future prices. Select the "What will my stack be worth?" tab to enter this mode. Reverse Mode is designed for goal-oriented investors who have a target net worth in mind — such as $1 million — and want to calculate exactly how much BTC they need to acquire. Select "How much BTC do I need?" to switch to this mode. Both modes update results instantly as you type, so you can explore different scenarios rapidly.
Step 2 — Enter Your Numbers
In Forward Mode, enter the amount of Bitcoin you currently hold (e.g. 0.5 BTC) and then set your target price using the slider or preset buttons. The slider ranges from $100,000 to $10,000,000, covering every realistic price scenario from conservative near-term targets to ambitious long-term projections. In Reverse Mode, first choose your target net worth — use the preset chips ($500k, $1M, $5M, $10M) or type a custom amount. Then enter the BTC price at which you expect to sell or measure your wealth. Optionally, enter your current Bitcoin holdings to see a progress bar showing how far along you are toward your goal.
Step 3 — Read Your Results
Results appear instantly in clearly labelled cards. In Forward Mode, you'll see your projected portfolio value, dollar gain from today's price, percentage gain, and a money multiplier showing how many times your investment would grow. In Reverse Mode, you'll see the exact amount of BTC you need, what it would cost to buy at today's live price, and a visual progress bar if you entered your current holdings. All calculations use the real-time Bitcoin price fetched from CoinGecko, so your results are always current and accurate.
Step 4 — Explore the Scenario Table
Below the calculator, a scenario table shows your portfolio value at six fixed Bitcoin price targets: $200k, $500k, $1M, $2M, $5M, and $10M. Each row displays the portfolio value, percentage gain from today's price, and a multiplier. The row closest to Bitcoin's current live price is highlighted so you can immediately see where the market stands relative to these milestones. This table is incredibly useful for long-term planning — it helps you visualise how different price levels would affect your wealth and set realistic accumulation targets.
Step 5 — Share or Download Your Report
Once you've found results worth saving, use the Share button to post directly to Twitter/X, LinkedIn, or Reddit with a pre-filled message showing your key stats. The share text automatically adapts to whichever mode you're using — in Reverse Mode, it includes how much BTC you need and your progress percentage, which tends to get strong engagement in Bitcoin communities. You can also export your full results as a PNG image or PDF report for your records, financial planning meetings, or to share with an investment advisor. The export captures the complete calculator view including the scenario table.
